"Can't get passed the receptionist to the person you want to talk to? Call again and ask for the accounts receivables department.
WHY? No company will turn away a caller potentially looking to pay a bill.
HOW? Once you get someone on the line, say there appears to be a mix-up and ask for person you really want to talk to — there's a good chance they can dial you straight through."
